Re: Save IRV, Inc. graciously accepts Edmund Ford’s invitation to explain reasons why Memphians voted to implement Instant Runoff Voting in 2008 for municipal elections and why we should keep it.

Dear Councilman Ford,

At City Hall on July 24th, 2018, you suggested that someone explain Instant Runoff Voting to your constituents.  We cordially accept your invitation to explain IRV and offer our perspective as to why 71% of Memphians voted to implement it in our municipal elections back in 2008.  This letter is a public acceptance of your invitation and we thank you for the opportunity to speak directly with your constituents.

Please have your Office contact our Office to arrange a time and place of your convenience.  We recommend a space large enough to hold as many of your constituents as possible. We also have friends we would like to invite as well and would like to make this as public of discussion as possible.  We appreciate your commitment to public service and look forward to hearing from you.

Onward and forward together,

Aaron Fowles

President
